October's Newsletter

“October is the time for falling leaves, warm sweaters, and… scary costumes.” October, as always, was full of surprises at the school. ELA Race, Halloween… October had everything to make school life very entertaining!

Democracy in the spotlight !

During Democracy Week, the school organised the election for the new school mascot! After a vote among the staff to choose between animals from Romania, every member of the school community had the opportunity to take part in the final vote. The CM1 and CM2 students got involved in a heated debate to defend their choice. Chamois or lynx? The decision was not easy. The class representatives then counted the votes with the director. Look carefully at the picture above to discover the identity of the winner…

Run for ELA !

As October went by, one of the school’s key events also made its great comeback. The ELA Race was an opportunity for kids, parents, and teachers to run together to raise awareness about disability issues. Thanks to the children, who could be heard chanting the charity’s slogan: “Mets tes baskets et bats la maladie !”

Halloween !

For the third year, Halloween brought its usual dose of magic and excitement to EFI. From spooky story readings to creative library activities and our much-anticipated costume parade, the day was filled with thrills, laughter, and wonderful memories for both children and parents.

English camp

During the second week of the holidays, the children had the chance to strengthen their English skills. On the agenda: reading, writing, theater, and much more… In the spirit of Halloween, Brian’s storytelling skills were especially appreciated. Everything was in place to ensure the children had fun while learning, a great way to combine vacation and school! Thank you, teacher Brian!

A trip down memory lane...

In their Romanian class, the CM1 and CM2 students were invited to bring old objects from home to celebrate the rich heritage of our school’s families. The resulting “Family Treasures” exhibition, organized by their teacher Alina, is still on display in the school hall.

Sport tournament

This term, the CP, CE1, and CE2 classes had a blast taking part in the “déménageurs” sports game. The challenge? Collecting and moving objects around the playground as quickly as possible, a fun test of speed, teamwork, and strategy! During the last week before the holidays, students from all three classes were mixed into teams and competed in a friendly tournament to see who would be crowned the ultimate movers.
